KEN BRAILSFORD – FOUNDER OF ZIJA INTERNATIONAL
A New York native, Kenneth Brailsford began his long and successful career in the nutritional supplement and network marketing industries after graduating from Brigham Young University in Utah and serving two years in the U.S. Army. An economist and entrepreneur, he has founded and operated several successful businesses, including co-founding Nature’s Sunshine, where he became the first commercial producer of encapsulated herbs on the global market. Kenneth Brailsford then purchased Nature’s Labs, Inc., a small herbal enterprise that over a 15-year period expanded to destinations such as Brunei, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Trinidad before being acquired by Royal Numico N.V.
With a substantial background in the nutritional supplement and network marketing industries, Kenneth Brailsford founded Zija International in 2004. The Salt Lake City resident heads the venture as President and CEO; he is also Chairman of the Board and majority shareholder. The company develops nutrition and wellness products from the leaves, seeds, and fruit of the rare Moringa tree. The plant, used by less developed societies for thousands of years, is recognized as a complete plant protein that has vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, and omega oils. In addition to his commitment to Zija International, Mr. Brailsford continues his oversight of KEB Enterprises, LLP, a holding company and lending business he founded in 1997.
Kenneth Brailsford and his wife are dedicated members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS). Mr. Brailsford began his mission work prior to completing his Bachelor’s degree in Economics. For more than two years he lived in West Germany and worked as a missionary for the LDS church. He and his wife have twice served as missionaries for the church. In 2002, their volunteer service took them to Atlanta, Georgia, for a two-year period. From 2005 to 2008 they performed volunteer service for the Columbia, South Carolina, mission, where he served as Mission President. Since 2009, Kenneth Brailsford has held the post of part-time volunteer as a temple worker. http://about.me/kenneth_brailsford
